Our services

What we do and who we support

Exercise physiology is a clinical service that uses structured, evidence-based exercise to improve strength, mobility and overall physical function. At RPM Allied Health, our exercise physiologists deliver tailored programs to support long-term health, disability, chronic conditions and rehabilitation. Learn more on our Exercise Physiology page.
Physiotherapy focuses on assessing and treating pain, injury and movement issues affecting muscles, joints and nerves. Treatment may include hands-on therapy, rehabilitation exercises and movement correction to restore mobility and reduce discomfort. Learn more about our Physiotherapy services.
Both services aim to improve how you move and function in daily life. Physiotherapy is often used to treat pain, injury or acute conditions, while exercise physiology focuses on building strength, capacity and long-term physical health. Depending on your needs, we may recommend one or both services to support your goals.
We support children (from age 4), adults and older people across Melbourne. This includes people with disability, chronic health conditions, injuries, neurological conditions and age-related changes, as well as those looking to improve strength, mobility or overall physical capacity.
Our team includes qualified physiotherapists and exercise physiologists who work with a wide range of conditions and support needs. We focus on practical, goal-based care delivered in your home or community environment. Learn more about our therapists here.
Our physiotherapists and exercise physiologists hold recognised university qualifications and are registered with their relevant professional bodies. They maintain ongoing professional development to ensure care is aligned with current evidence and best practice. Please see information on each of our team members.
Referrals

How to refer or get started

You do not always need a referral to get started. You can contact RPM Allied Health directly to organise physiotherapy or exercise physiology services. Referrals are commonly provided by GPs, specialists, support coordinators and other health professionals, particularly for NDIS, TAC, DVA and WorkCover clients.
You can submit a referral using our Referral Form or contact our team to discuss your needs. We accept referrals from individuals, families, support coordinators and healthcare professionals. If you are unsure which service is most appropriate, we can guide you towards either Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology based on your goals.
Once we receive your referral, our team will review the information and contact you to confirm suitability, discuss your goals and organise an initial appointment. We aim to make the process straightforward and ensure you are matched with the most appropriate service.
Appointments

What to expect from your sessions

RPM Allied Health is a mobile service delivering physiotherapy and exercise physiology in Melbourne. Sessions take place in your home or a suitable community environment to ensure treatment is practical and relevant to your daily life.
Your first session includes an initial assessment, discussion of your goals and a plan for ongoing support. This may involve movement assessment, identifying key challenges and outlining whether physiotherapy, exercise physiology, or a combination of both is recommended.
Most sessions run between 45 to 60 minutes, depending on your needs and the type of service being delivered. Appointment length may vary for more complex assessments or rehabilitation sessions.
Session frequency depends on your goals, condition and funding. Some people require short-term support for injury or recovery, while others benefit from ongoing sessions to build strength, manage chronic conditions or support long-term function.
We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or changes to appointments. Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur a fee, depending on your funding type.
Funding

How services are funded and billed

We support a range of funding pathways to make services accessible. This includes NDIS, TAC, DVA, WorkCover, aged care, Medicare, private health insurance and self-funded services. Please contact us to discuss the most suitable funding options for you.
Yes. We provide NDIS physiotherapy and exercise physiology services for self-managed and plan-managed participants. We support a wide range of goals, including mobility, independence, capacity building and rehabilitation.
Exercise physiology and physiotherapy services may be eligible for private health rebates depending on your level of cover. We recommend checking directly with your provider to confirm your entitlements.
Billing varies depending on your funding type. We will clearly explain fees, claiming processes and any out-of-pocket costs before services begin, so you know what to expect.
Out-of-pocket costs depend on your funding type and level of cover. Some services may be fully funded under NDIS, TAC, DVA or WorkCover, while others such as Medicare or private health insurance may involve a gap payment. We will clearly explain fees, rebates and any expected costs before starting physiotherapy or exercise physiology services so you can make an informed decision.
