About EP

What is Exercise Physiology?

Exercise physiology is a clinical service that uses targeted exercise to support physical function, health and long-term condition management.
At RPM Allied Health, our exercise physiologists deliver programs that are tailored to your needs, goals and environment, focusing on practical outcomes that carry over into everyday life. Sessions may include a combination of:

Strength training using bodyweight, resistance bands or light equipment

Balance and coordination exercises to improve stability and reduce falls risk

Functional training such as sit-to-stand, walking, stair use or reaching tasks

Cardiovascular exercise to improve endurance and overall fitness

Mobility and flexibility work to support joint movement

Exercises are adapted based on your condition, level of support and pace of progression. This may include modifying movements, adjusting intensity or incorporating rest and recovery strategies. Programs are reviewed and progressed over time to ensure they remain appropriate and aligned with your goals.
