Physiotherapist

Fiona is a highly experienced and compassionate Physiotherapist with over 20 years of clinical experience across hospital, rehabilitation and community settings. She is passionate about helping individuals with neurological and complex conditions regain mobility, build confidence, and improve their independence through personalised, evidence-based physiotherapy.
Fiona has extensive experience working with diverse clinical populations, particularly individuals living with neurological conditions including Acquired Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Stroke, Motor Neurone Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s Disease. She is deeply committed to supporting clients in overcoming functional challenges and achieving meaningful, real-world goals.
Fiona supports clients in managing:
  • Mobility challenges and progression (from assisted transfers to community and outdoor walking)
  • Postural management and positioning
  • Pressure care
  • Gait disorders and falls prevention
  • Ataxia and coordination difficulties
  • Dizziness and vestibular conditions
  • Complex equipment needs and prescription
Believing that every individual presents uniquely, Fiona takes a personalised and functional approach to physiotherapy. She tailors each intervention to align with her clients’ goals, ensuring therapy is practical, empowering, and directly applicable to daily life.
Her professional background spans acute hospital care, inpatient rehabilitation, community-based services and private practice. Fiona works collaboratively with participants, families, support coordinators and allied health teams to ensure coordinated, goal-directed care.
Fiona also supports clients to explore:
  • Increased independence in walking or wheelchair mobility
  • Hydrotherapy and gym-based rehabilitation programs
  • Return to sport and recreation
  • Participation in employment or volunteering
  • Specialised equipment prescription including wheelchairs, standing frames, mobility aids, hoists and transfer aids
Outside of work, Fiona enjoys walking her dog, spending time with family, and planning weekend adventures.
